Dr. K. Dharmalingam , a veteran in teaching, has his journey into learning for ever continuing even today. With B.Sc (Hons) in Physics from Annamalai University in 1959, B.E in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from IISc Bangalore in 1963 and M.Sc(Engg) in High Voltage Engineering in 1967 from College of Engineering Guindy he went ahead to complete his Ph.D in High Voltage Engineering in the year of 1976 from IISc Bangalore. His teaching career spans over a period of 37 years from being a professor to be a Principal. He had served as Principal for 6 years in two leading engineering colleges prior to being a Professor and Director in the school of Electrical Engineering, College of Engineering, Anna University Campus, Guindy. He has held different honorary positions, such as Member of Syndicate Anna University, Member of Academic counsel Anna University, Secretary Staff club Govt. College of Technology Coimbatore and Foreign Student Advisor Anna University. He has published 14 papers in National & International Journals, presented 20 papers in National & International Conferences and also has conducted 14 Summer/Winter schools and courses for practicing engineers. He has guided 6 PhD Scholars and more than 40 M.E theses. He is a member of CIGRE committee working group, Fellow, Institution of Engineers India, and Member of IEEE (USA). |
